Here we share our top picks to accompany your Valentine’s roses. We know you and your customers will no doubt have their favourites. However, it’s always nice to consider and offer different options. This is especially good for standing apart from the competition and providing a luxury offering to entice and upsell to clients who want to seriously impress their Valentine.
Hypericum
The selection of Hypericum continues to grow, as does their quality and range of colours. The two main types (as you’ll no doubt know) are:
Single – A main sturdy stem that leads to symmetrical branches each with its own formation of berries.
Spray – A sturdy stem leading to a single cluster of impressive berries.
The Coco Series of Hypericum are grown by our friends at Florius Flowers. As shown above they include Coco: Uno, Gelato, Bamboo, Casino, Tiamo, Rio, Tango, Diablo, and Bellimo.
The True Romance® Series of Hypericum are grown by the Floral Chain Group. All their names are followed by the ‘Romance’ title and include: Rocky, True, Red Light, Sweet, Mellow Orange, Mellow, Cool, Jungle Romance, Lucky, Lovely, and Smiley. Most of these are shown above.
The final main range of Hypericum is the ‘Magical’ Series. These include: Royal Princess, Triumph, Green Power, Cherry, Dawn, Impression, Indian Fall, Innocence, Midnight Glow, Mocca, Pink Fall, Pink Giant, Pumpkin, Red, Royal Cream, Royal Red, Seasons, Snowprince, Universe, White Fall, White Princess. We’ve shared the most popular above.
We also stock an increasing range from our friends at Marginpar.
Limonium
There are few flowers more reliable to add to roses than Limonium. Here we highlight some varieties from the Safora Series and the Sinensis series.
Above, we’ve shared just a tiny selection. There are many more varieties available, as well as many other dyed Limonium colours that can add a blast of colour to your designs.
Gypsophila
For many customers, there is only one flower that accompanies red roses, and this is it: Gypsophila.
However, as well as a range of white varieties to choose from there are the very natural looking absorbed Gypsophilia stems. This natural look happens as the environmentally friendly dyes are drunk up by the stems allowing the flower heads change colours in a way that gives a subtle look that is almost impossible to tell it’s not the varieties original colour.
Looking for an alternative colour with a bit more pow? Gypsophilia is one of the flowers that is painted in a whole range of colours throughout the year.
