Ascension Day is a Bank Holiday held in Holland on Thursday 14th May, as such the Dutch flower auctions are closed on this day. Therefore, there are no flowers coming in from Holland to the UK (for Friday delivery or collection).

However, we are open as usual and will have a good level of stock, just as you would expect. You can also order online as usual from ‘Flowers London’.

This Dutch Bank Holiday does affect other buying options, which you need to bear this in mind, especially as the wedding season is getting in full flow! 

If you’d have liked to receive flowers from ‘Flowers Holland’ or ‘VIP Flowers’ on Friday 15th May please ensure you place your orders for arrival on Thursday, rather than Friday.

Our webshop will reflect the buying options accordingly, we just wanted you to know the earlier buying deadline.

We will happily keep your flowers in our fridge for collection or delivery on Friday should you wish. As mentioned you will need to place your orders as if for a Thursday arrival, then just let us know that you’d like them on Friday, rather than the Thursday (when they’ll be arriving).

Similarly to ‘Flowers Holland’ you will need to adjust your ‘Pre-Order’ buying times although you will have the option to select Friday buying.

If you would like ‘Pre-Order’ Flowers for Friday 15th May that online buying option is open to you* however, your flowers will arrive with us on Wednesday 13th May and we’ll hold them in our fridge before your delivery or collection on Friday.

Please be aware the cut off time for your Pre-Orders will reflect their arrival on Thursday, rather than Friday.

This means you need to have completed your buying by 2am Monday night/Tuesday early morning – but remember you can buy anytime before that.
