Early May Bank Holiday & Ascension Day
We wanted to share our Early May Bank Holiday opening and buying times so you have all the information you need.
Perhaps more importantly we need to be aware that Holland has Ascension Day coming up soon too! We share how this affects the Dutch flower auctions and growers and may have an influence on your buying.
Early May Bank Holiday
Firstly Early May Bank Holiday. We’re closed on the Monday, however, this is not a bank holiday in Holland. So there will be no affect on us receiving everything as usual. You just need to be aware we won’t be open for buying, collecting and there won’t be any deliveries made this day. The webshop buying options will reflect this.

Please Note:
The Dutch flower auctions are closed on this Bank Holiday held in Holland on Thursday 9th May. Therefore, there are no flowers coming in from Holland to the UK on Friday. Please bear this in mind when buying, especially as the wedding season is getting in full flow!
If you would have liked to receive flowers through buying from ‘Flowers Holland’ or ‘VIP Flowers’ on Friday 10th May please ensure you place your orders for arrival on Thursday, rather than Friday instead.
We are open as usual and will have a good level of stock, just as you would expect. Also our webshop will reflect the buying options accordingly.

We’re here to help and want to make your life as easy as possible
We will happily keep your flowers in our fridge for collection or delivery on Friday should you wish. As mentioned you will need to place your orders as you usually would for a Thursday arrival and let us know that you’d like them on Friday, rather than the Thursday (when we’ll be getting them in).
