We have some exciting news to share — Westflor has been shortlisted for the British Florist Association’s Local Wholesaler of the Year Award!

What Happens Now?
The Industry Awards Panel has now invited us to submit a full application for the next stage of the competition. This involves sharing detailed information about every aspect of our business.
If you’re one of our regular customers, you’re probably aware that we make continual improvements, even if they’re often behind the scenes. That’s one of the reasons we’re never short of things to share, we’re proud to showcase what sets Westflor apart — and our submission will do just that. It’s used by the judges and will also be viewable by the public during the voting phase.
THE TIME LINE
30th July – Deadline for submission (5pm)
6th August – Public voting opens & judging begins (12pm)
An international panel of industry leaders & professionals will judge in each category, their marks will be averaged to find the judges favourites based on the submission criteria.
2nd September – Judging closes 12pm.
8th September – Finalists announced 12pm Public votes are combined with judges votes to find the finalists.
4th October – Winners announced at Industry Awards Evening.
About the Awards
The British Florist Association (BFA) Awards celebrate excellence across all aspects of the floristry industry. Among these, the Local Wholesaler of the Year Award is one of the most hotly anticipated and highly sought-after accolades of the night. It recognises wholesalers who demonstrate outstanding service, quality, and innovation.
How Is It Judged?
The international panel of industry experts evaluates each nominee based on several key criteria. For Local Flower Wholesaler of the Year, they include:
- Innovation and Industry Impact: How the company contributes to and influences the floral industry
- Excellence in Product and Service Delivery: The quality and reliability of products and services provided
- Support and Development of Staff: Commitment to nurturing and developing their team
